Okay, it seems comments are out :/
But on topic: My trip is all right, the last hostel in Bloemfontein reacted and at least said they have a room though they did not confirm yet. And the nice girl from Harvey's travel booked me all my busses, so that I now know how I come from where to where; I will be driving from Johannesburg to Bloemfontein with the
SARoadlink, the
Translux will bring me back home on the 9th of may, and all the other parts of my journey I will be driving with the busses of
Greyhound/
Citiliner, where Citiliner is the cheap alternative offered by greyhound, meaning you drive without cooling or space... I hope it won't be getting to warm on the routes I'm going with them (especially since it's the long parts).
To come to my journey, as I mentioned (I think), I will be starting on April 22nd with an 18 hour ride with the Citiliner from Knysna to
Durban(for the tourism website see
here), staying there for from the 23rd to the 27th in the
Tekweni Backpackers, let's see to what end, but it seems to be a nice location to stay :). After those few days in Durban I will go on to the
Amphibackpackers, situated in the
Amphitheatre in the central
Drakensberg, staying there for 5 days of hiking and such. If that should not be enough to kill me yet, I will after that move on to
Johannesburg(tourism website
here), staying there in the
Brown Sugar, a backpackers that also is an ex mafia mansion, for another weekend in one of the big southafrican cities, and come to think of it, what for one! At an elevation of 1,753 and with nearly eight million people living there or close by, with another four million in
Tshwane next door (I hope I manage a daytrip)... I'm really looking forward to that! After that my journey slowly goes back into the home direction moving from Gauteng to the Freestate, Stopping for a day in
Bloemfontein, the 'city of roses'. There I'll stay at the naval hills backpackers, which has no website and was really hard to track down, despite their flowery name and the option to visit lesotho which is close by, but I have to see
Lesotho earlier, going there through the Drakensberg mountains earlier on my trip, hoping I can renew my visitors permit (else I'm doomed *g*). From Bloemfontein it is another overnight Busride to
East London(unlike Bloemfontein east london has a fair tourism website
here), where I'll stay in the
Sugar Shack, another interesting Backpackers, directly at the Beach, I hope I can recover there for the 3 days I'm gonna stay, if not I might add one or two *g* (Did I mention they have a surf competition there, where you can get a free night when you win?). After that another long ride home and back to work ... but anyways, I'm gonna have 2 and a half weeks off, and accommodation and transport will cost me a rough 200 euro total .. sounds fair imho *g*
Durban(Die Touri-Website findet man
Bloemfontein, der 'city of roses', verbringen werde.
